Aisleriot Statistics Change

Your personal stats file for Aisleriot under linux (opensuse 11.3) is stored under /home/USER/.gconf/apps/aisleriot/%gconf.xml. Inside this file you’ll find four “string” numbers for each game type with the game name listed above each set. They are ordered as follows :-

* Games Won

* Games Played

* Game Best Time in Seconds

* Game Worst Time in Seconds.

However due to gnome storing settings data in memory after boot editing this file will have no effect and it will simply revert to actual starts when you start your next game. The only real way to change the stats are with Gnome Configuration Editor which can be found Applications > System > Configuration > Gnome Configuration Editor.

Once you have loaded this go to Apps > aisleriot and double click statistics to edit the four numbers. Save and your stats have been changed

Note…

An in-balance in stats have no effect on program, e.g. you can safely have 150 won with only 100 played and you will simply get a percentage proportionate to that, 150% in that case.
